Set within a Victorian mansion house in Putney, our Gwendolen Avenue School provides a beautiful, safe and homely setting. The nursery has designated classrooms for each age group from 3 months to 5 years.
Yellow, Blue, Green, Purple and Pink are located on the ground floor. The Yellow, Blue and Pink rooms are fitted with a changing facility whilst Green and Purple use a joint bathroom. Our youngest baby room has a separate sleeping area and a milk kitchen is shared between all four rooms.
Red, Orange and Aqua are based on the first floor. Each room is equipped with an en-suite bathroom and changing facilities, which greatly assists in the potty-training process and hygiene practices.
The nursery garden is set at the rear of the house and is a fantastic place for the children to run, explore and develop their understanding of the world through the sensory activities built in around the garden. The easy grass surface provides a safe and comfortable environment for the babies to be able to crawl as well as the older children to play tennis and other sports.
In addition to this we have a dance studio and sensory room at the end of our garden where our weekly activities of dance and ballet take place.
Set in the grounds of Holy Trinity Church on Beaumont Road at the top of West Hill, our Trinity Church Hall nursery is a purpose built, state of the art, nursery facility. The extensive use of glass and painted wood creates a feeling of space, warmth and light throughout.
The nursery has designated classrooms for each age group from 3 months to 5 years.
Seahorse, Starfish and Dolphin are fitted with changing facilities and our youngest babies have a separate sleeping area. A milk kitchen is also shared between the rooms.
Octopus and Turtle rooms are situated on the ground floor with the classroom for our oldest children (Penguin) located on the first floor. Each has their own en-suite bathroom and changing facilities which greatly assists with the potty-training process and hygiene practices.
All of our rooms are designed specifically to cater for the different age groups and their age-appropriate development. Each has specific areas zoned for activities such as sensory, reading or imaginative and a home corner which can be easily adapted to run alongside the children’s interests such as becoming a stage, a beach or a building site.
Outside, we have 2 easy grass safe-surface play areas, one for our youngest children and the other for the older, more mobile children. They are all encouraged to explore our outdoor equipment, which includes a climbing frame and slide, along with investigating other learning activities which are set up by our teachers in the garden each day.
The school office is also housed at our Trinity Church Hall nursery.
